The cycle of dossier exhibitions in Room 10 of Ca’Pesaro, opens with a survey of Arturo Martini’s work as printmaker. Through the plates for Istoria d’amore a Nippo, a folder of seven gold-coloured linocuts on beige paper, the small exhibition offers the possibility of discovering a little-known side of the famous artist’s production; born in Treviso, the artist is famous for his sculptures.
In this sequence of prints, Arturo Martini (Treviso 1889 – Milan 1947) presents a dramatic, mysterious love story in which the characters, surrounded by a wild and harsh nature, indicated by a firm, bold line, live the events of their lives in a legendary time marked by the great star moving through the sky.
