Teatro Fondamenta Nuove
The echo of the wonderful concert of Uri Caine has not ended yet and «Risonanze» season is about to start again: an edition that will be presented as a sound multidimensional atlas.
We will begin with Canada, then we will cross Europe, and draw exchanges between America and Japan, looking for African roots.
A real point of departure or arrival that will disappear in a moving variety of languages.
In the atlas the presence of the voice is strong (from the English Phil Minton to the French soprano Sophie Boulin) and the various links between different sound worlds, the relationships between languages and periods, techniques and instruments, the language of writing and of improvisation that is the medium of more urgent expression needs with names as Gerry Hemingway, the Radian, Ethinic Heritage Ensemble, Satoko Fujii.
The season will begin on March 8th with the Canadian duo composed by Joane Hétu & Jean Derome, two saxophone players and singers who improvise together, establishing a relationship between themselves creating extraordinary sounds.
On the 21st the programme will continue with the particular research of Phil Minton, Thomas Lehn and Axel Doerner, a trio of perfect improvisers called Toot that will present exclusively for Fondamenta Nuove Theatre their new album.
In an expressive contrast the individual sound creations will melt one inside the other so that it will be impossible to distinguish the voice, the trumpet or the synthesizer.
