Robin Frood gained a Master of Arts in Printmaking from Camberwell College of Art, London, in 2002. She was a prize winner at the London Print Show in the same year. Since 2003 she has taught at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica di Venezia and in 2007 she co-founded the studio Codex Venezia where she makes and exhibits her work. The works on show are realised from woodblocks using the Japanese ukiyo-e technique in which pigments and rice paste are applied to the block with a flat brush and printed by hand using a small bamboo pad. She draws inspiration from the light and colours of Venice as well as nature and musical composition. Exhibition prepared by Emanuele Horodniceanu.
Opening Thursday 24th November, h 5.30.
