The University Ca'Foscari of Venice devotes two days to Jewish writer Philip Roth.
He's one of the greatest American writers of his generation and the most awarded: Philip Roth (born 1933) has unquestionably achieved worldwide fame. His books have been translated into several languages, there are countless literary awards (from Pulitzer Prize for American Pastoral, 1998, to various National Book Award, the Pen/Faulkner Award until the last Man Booker International Prize).
The measure of his importance on the world literary scene is attested by the publication of his opera omnia in the prestigious Library of America Edition – only living writer to have this honour.
At the end of the projects, the documentary Roth on Roth by journalist and writer Livia Manera, premiered in Italy and Europe.
