MusiCaFoscari presents on days 20, 21, 22, 23 April, an extraordinary sequence of music and improvisation in its philosophical concepts, which runs through the contemporary music and free improvisation.

Saturday, April 20, from 17 and Sunday 21 April, from 15, at the Teatro Ca'Foscari in Santa Marta, Luigi Ceccarelli (live electronics) and Daniel Roccato (double bass) will hold a free workshop on improvisation, for students-musicians of Ca'Foscari and also open to other visitors. The meeting will end at 21 with Y-Traces and performance born from the lab with students.

Monday, April 22, at 21, at the Auditorium Santa Margherita, Interactive Trio. George Lewis (trombone) play interacting with a disklavier he programmed with software for improvisation, and Steve Lehman (alto sax).

After the performance, a presentation of the concepts of the philosophy of improvisation by the performers and the philosopher Arnold Davidson, opens a discussion with the public on these issues.

The morning of April 23, from 10 to 13, in Room Morelli - Malcanton-Marcorà, takes place a free conversation on improvisation in music, with George Lewis, Steve Lehman, Arnold Davidson, Daniele Goldoni and other philosophers and musicians, open to everyone.
