The Austrian composer Peter Androsch develops fascinating images that he calls phonographies, sound-writings. They are created by layering notes or score manuscripts or parts of manuscripts into more or less dense landscapes of writing. His own scores originally served as the basis for producing the images, but for this exhibition Androsch creates his enchanting sound-images based on the handwriting of other coposers. This results in sound-panoramas as lithographs and serigraphs (silk-screen) in various formats and variations based on Richard Wagner. In addition he also presents works based on Anton Bruckner.
