Giorgio Cini Foundation and Akademie für Alte Musik Bremen celebrate the great composer with the first 'Vivaldi Academy' and a series of concerts open to the public
From July 7 to 14, the first Accademia Vivaldi, created by the soprano Gemma Bertagnolli, will be held at the Giorgio Cini Foundation, with Francesco Fanna, director of the Italian Institute Antonio Vivaldi of the Giorgio Cini Foundation, and Thomas Albert, head of the Akademie für Alte Musik Bremen. The academy, organized on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the Italian Institute Antonio Vivaldi, will be attended by the teachers of the Akademie für Alte Musik and other international lecturers and will include a series of eight concerts open to the public on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore (July 7-11 at 19.00), at the Sansovino Library (12 July at 12.00), at the Chiesa della Pietà (13 July at 20.30) and the Scuola Grande di San Rocco where a selection will be performed from the opera Il Teuzzi ( July 14 at 8.30 pm), which is being prepared by the critical edition by the Italian Institute Antonio Vivaldi.
