Guido Fuga and Lele Vianello, loyal collaborators of the famous comic-strip writer Hugo Pratt, have created hundreds of drawings featuring the travels of Marco Polo which were recently collected in a book published by Supernova (Marco Polo: Testimonianze di un viaggio straordinario, 2006). The charming and elegant halls at the Querini Stampalia Foundation now host the drawings which, not unlike a silent movie, retrace the legs of the fantastic voyage of the young Venetian traveler. Beside Marco Polo, the viewer may spot also the other personalities who helped make this adventure memorable: the pilgrim, the Templar, caravan guide, Pope Gregory X and Kublai Khan accompany Marco from Italy to the Gobi Desert.
