Rethinking the city is now one of the priorities that the contemporaneity imposes. The urban structures, social networks and grids of identity that are interwoven in it are at the center of profound changes that call into question the need for new and more companies forms of exercise of citizenship. The city is also and above all a place that produces culture, able to produce and reproduce so many imaginary related to identity and the stories of those crosses. In this sense, the district of Via Piave in Mestre, on which we focused our attention, offers a vantage point by virtue of its social complexity and the special relationship it has with the city of Venice. Along with a group of citizens have been trying to tell, with a notebook and a camera, this complexity: the path began in December 2011, was developed through weekly meetings during which we discussed photographic research, listened to and understood each other's points of view in order to build a story with many voices of the neighborhood.
Different stories and experiences, visions and readings of the change taking place: 27 shots available to each participant to tell her and watch the neighborhood looking through the viewfinder of a camera, tell about the places and communities that cross it.
After his meetings workshops, the exhibition offers the public photo projects of the group via Piave Reporting: over 200 shots to tell the identities, transformations, limits and resources of the district Piave in Venice Mestre.
