The documentary exhibition, curated and produced by the Goethe-Institut of Milan, based on historical journalistic material, researched in the archives of the Corriere della Sera, analyzes how the Italian image of Germany - beginning in the '60s - has been formed by stereotypes. Through extensive research in the archive were chosen examples of newspaper articles that show - unequivocally - the most common stereotypes and clichés. The subdivision illustrative in six thematic sections: society, history and culture, immigration, economy, politics and lifestyle, explains the importance of stereotypes, which manifest themselves in various contexts. The presentation of textual material is supplemented by historical and current photographs of German everyday, and specimens from video sequences, taken from TV broadcasts (RAI archive), with the intention to investigate, so witty, the importance of stereotypes for Italo-German understanding.
