On display, great platonic solids and a small pavilion, built to interact with the public. The theme is the conductivity and direction of sound and the possibility of development and application in architecture.
At Tolentini, prestigious headquarter of Università Iuav di Venezia, next to Piazzale Roma, the project originated by an idea of Jacopo Gonzato, consist of 5 platonic solids hung on the wall, made by abstruse polyurethane each stimulated by 2 conduct transductors.
Through this prisms we explain how the geometric link creates a specific distribution of the sound which does not just follow the trend of the construction poles but use them to define the surfaces and volumes evoked by the frameworks.
On display a pavilion made by a standard abstruse polyurethane panels framework. This small architectonic space gives a clear idea of how this technology could be used and how it could change the way of thinking about space though a new management of sound. You realize that spaces framed only by the architectonic structure can be determined. Perception of room and sound are melt together.
Integral part of the exhibition is the recorded material: what will be projected in the frameworks is an experiment of holofonic music aimed to create three-dimensional experiences.
