Pino Pascali’s work encompasses a wide variety of media: painting, sculpture, advertising, performance, TV sets. French art historian Valérie Da Costa, in her latest book Pino Pascali. Retour à la Méditerranée (2015), offers a new approach to his work through an anthropological perspective and a possible dialogue with the Mediterranean landscape in Pasolini’s films. The relationship between Pascali and cinema is further examined by Marco Giusti’s film Pino Pascali o le trasformazioni del serpente (2003), screened after the talk.
