The next edition of the fair will also see the beginning of the project whose purpose is to transform the Venice Boat Show within three years into the event symbolising the meeting of the maritime economies of the eastern Mediterranean, and particularly of the two Adriatic coastlines. This is a vocation that descends from the commercial and seagoing tradition of the city of Venice, ideal gate between west and east, the wealth of boatyards and marine operators in the area and the intense pleasure boating traffic that is developing along the coasts of Italy and the former Yugoslav countries. This next Show will present some novel aspects, such as opening up to the work boat sector and the cruise market. So it will once again not only be an exhibition of boats but a rich, enjoyable and above all complete marine festival featuring a big floating show. Not only an exhibition of boats but a chance for people in different sectors of boating to talk and exchange ideas in fields such as design and construction techniques, navigational instruments, marketing of marine services and many other aspects of the marine and maritime market, not to forget accessories and sportswear fashion.
