This exhibition explores a subject, the laundry, that could be hardly treated by a “pure” Venetian. I assume that because if you live in Venice, you’re used to see really everything hanging from a balcony! An American guy, instead, surely has another approach with that and Robert Knott always looks for the rigour of shapes and pureness of colours (his pictures, in fact, are all coloured). By the way, sometimes it’s good for us Italian to be seen plainly… in underpants.
