Two in One is a project born imagining Visual suggestions resulting from the encounter between work and aesthetics of two artists. The program combines a series of exhibitions and temporary residencies during which a pair of artists sharing the workplace and an exhibition space. Two in One Project is therefore a curatorial open laboratory, which investigates and explores the dynamics that develop within a minimum form of aggregation. In each meeting artists and curators live closely together, working on a project to multiple entries by which investigating perceptive and aesthetic relations that develop with the two artistic research and so record the process that leads to the production of the work.
Project # 3, reached the third round, proposes an exposure that involves and brings together two different fields of image: graphics and photography. Daria Tommasi and Rachel Maistrello, the two artists, are invited to the residence project that was established few weeks before at Massimeno (Tn).
The topic identified by the editors for this third residence was the “Woods”, and how the human figure relates to that particular environment. Reflections and images that the artists have gained in space and limited time of residence were later developed independently, reworking according to the different aesthetic approaches the suggestions that the week of residence had before fed. The result of this unusual research will be presented through an exhibition in A PLUS from 24 to April 30 2012.
