Gondola
The gondola is the boat that symbolises Venice: it is 11 metres long, it is steered by a gondoliere or a pope with just one oar that rests on a crutch. The characteristic comb feature on the back actually provides balance to the boat and symbolises the sestieri of Venice and the island of Giudecca.
